Ypres in Belgium where the Last Post is sounded every evening at 8 PM. The camp site Jeugdstadion is only 15 minutes walk from the centre of town. Visited the Menin Gate and the Flanders Fields museum.
Very hot over 30c in the shade.
We went in for the 8 pm sounding of the Last Post ceremony by the fire brigade as the have now done over 31000 times since 1929. Also a School band played as well and the children from the school placed wreaths on the steps of the gate.
