The overnight stop was about 3Km from Pamplona city centre, a road past a school. We walked into the city the next morning and up the funicular lift into the old part of the city. It is a fortified city about 450m above sea level. A real mixture of wide city streets and very narrow streets. We visited the Cathedral with a large museum attached a very interesting place and well done. We walked out onto the Citadel and around the walls before heading back to the van. Another warm day about 27c.

The next day we headed for a monastery and wine fountain at Irache. ( 42.6505, -2.0441 ) We tasted the wine a purchased a bottle in the museum. The headed east and over a 1000m pass down to our next stop.
